Yesterday was a long day … I try and choose something to watch out for to break up the drive … the other day the ghastly carcasses, yesterday was termite mounds, but with added company of emus.
According to the Wiki on Big Things there is a Big Deck Chair in Winton, but I couldn’t find it so I asked a local … it is hidden in an ‘outdoor’ theatre … actually an internal courtyard. I finally found it …
Winton is also known as the gateway to the Dinosaur Trail. I took to the unsealed road … corrugated of course … to get a photo of the bronze statue of Banjo the dinosaur at the exhibit called The Age of Dinosaurs. The other place I would have liked to visit, the Dinosaur Stampede, but it was closed due to a rockfall.
